To answer your thoughts on why you might not be good or feel you are not good with mecha, mechs are usually technical. I notice you do a lot of organic drawings. Might try to see if you can make more organic mechs. Take a study off of those who do. Try looking up Phantasy Star Online or Phantasy Star Universe. Both use more organic looking robots. There's also someone who primarily specializes in ore organic robots too. I'll give them a look up if you'd want to take a look at their works.
