Wanted to see how the characters will look like in manga format, i learned a couple of things while doing this, i think its not that bad to do realistic enviroments got some ideas to improve that with brushes.
As you can see in manga you have short time to work the pages, but i will like to make them this way, kind of sketchy but with a painterly look.
So what do you think?, do you like this style for a manga in Tokyo pop, instead traditional lines and tones.
Sorry, forgo to answer the question! I think this style is very good for what you're trying to pull off. It's not overly finished, and just has enough sketchiness to give it character and motion.
wow, background looks really good. I actually really like the sketchy effect, and somehow there's still a lot of detail! The range of tones is really nice!

I don't think there's anything wrong with going with a shaded or colored look. Yoshitoshi Abe and Masumune Shirow both do that sort of look now...
My only concern about Tokyopop is that their quality of transfer sometimes is not so hot... without enough contrast some of your subtle shading could get lost.
