The Media, the new religion.

"I just wanted to say i love you just the way you are."

Made in corel painter 12, took sometime, im pretty proud of this one, ended close as i picture it. This image its filled with hidden messages, wanted to do something with meaning. Lets just say no to bad boob plastic surgery. The only beauty that exist is born, not created.

very well done, from the idea, to the finished image. i love the social criticism in it
Couldn't not buy a print of this during the buy 2 get one free print sale.  Can't wait the several weeks it will take to get here!
I agree with your statement up to a point.. "The only beauty that exist is born, not created."

What if said cosmetic surgery was done to restore something that was taken away due to something like.. burns, disease, some accident. Wouldnt people who go through cosmetic surgeries then not have the right to call themselves, or at the very least feel beautiful, even though they werent Born with what they now have after said surgery?

Also, the idea of beauty is completely subjective; you may feel that only the natural state is beautiful, but theres enough opinions that differ from even one another, that contradict that idea. Like that old saying goes "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."

I dont think your necessarily wrong, just that your statement is coming more from an emotional standpoint instead of a logical one. The artpiece itself is very impressive by the way; i love the quality, and the amount of thought you put into the details.. especially the tattoo and the headphones... oh and the fact that it looks like she's tied up by what looks like a fur scarf. The symbolism is well received, and illustrated very creatively.
they're shaped nice
Wow, just wow.

I agree. Far too much pain and suffering is gone through because of the pressure pop culture and the media at large put on the current stereotype of superficial "beauty". So much wasted time, and money, and even lives lost.

Normally, I would not favorite something that contains such nudity, but the message and overall charm of the piece are too great to resist.

I thank you for creating and posting this inspired work of art, and I hope that it and others like it help bring new light into the world and make it a better place. ~ Δ
