Since the only thing I ever acknowledged myself good at is getting better I decided to share a couple of tricks.
I truly believe it works in every single case.
It's true. You can get out now or shut up and listen and get better.
(oh and do I need to mention that you need to draw a lot to get better?
I didn't draw a lot and still got better because I followed the steps listed below. But yeah, may not work without drawing a lot...)

I had received a job offer at Microsoft. I guess this could have been one of my first 'big time' jobs, so I was a little ecstatic. It felt like a slow build to get to this point, after numerous indie games and under the table freelance jobs, but finally it had come.

Okay, so anyone who know me gets that I love baking. I love it...but the kitchen abhors me. I turn Jell-O into soup, cookies into burning circles of chocolate death...cupcakes into squishy, sad little puffs. It would be pathetic if it wasn't so funny. But I keep persevering in the hopes that I may one day call myself Woman.

But tonight, I've outdone myself. I successfully made a banana split cake, and I feel like I should share the recipe. It requires no baking! Well, you do have to microwave. Funny story, that. So 1 minute 15 seconds is an acceptable time to nuke some white chocolate. 1 minute 45 seconds is not. You will create a pulsating, slimy alien life form that will try to take over your microwave.

Wrong. Ok, maybe a little. But does anyone have any idea how hard it is to pose two dolls together? Certaintly these two who have trouble standing on their own, their knees buckle constantly, it took me seriously so long to shoot this!! Thats why these kind of things make me so sad.

Did u knowWhen you go to buy bread in the grocery store, have you ever wondered which is the freshest, so you 'squeeze' for freshness or softness? Did you know that bread is delivered fresh to the stores five days a week? Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Each day has a different color twist tie.
They are:
Monday = Blue,
Tuesday = Green,
Thursday = Red
Friday = White
Saturday = Yellow.
So if today was Thursday, you would want red twist tie; not white which is Fridays (almost a week old)! The colors go alphabetically by color Blue- Green - Red - White - Yellow, Monday through Saturday. Very easy to remember. I thought this was interesting. I looked in the grocery store and the bread wrappers DO have different twist ties, and even the ones with the plastic clips have different colors. You learn something new everyday! Enjoy fresh bread when you buy bread with the right color on the day you are shopping.

Totoro, the God of Death??I've read a very interesting article from a local magazine, and just thought I'd share it here~ Especially for Totoro fans. (Though most of you might have known about this)

Woman as a Male ModelI have a rather important post to talk about actually. One of my favorite photographers, Cass Bird, does portriats. She does a lot of gender queer, androgynous, LGBT oriented pictures that are really great.
And in one of her shoots she needed another guy to do a project, and she happened to come across a female who looked just right for it. Casey Legler, the model, ended up getting signed as a male model the very next day.
This is a huge deal. Not since Andrej Pejic has there been a gender fluid model in both womens and mens clothes so easily. This woman is perfect for male modeling, and to have it be signed so quickly just amazes me.
Maybe its our modern culture changing, or maybe its the new visions of queer photographers like Cass Bird who are really changing how accepting we can be for gender specified models in photogrpahy.
Anyway, I thought this was fantastic news to share. She is beautiful, and apparently an Olympic swimmer back in France. Which is also amazing.

I recently hear from a friend that certain deviantArt users (I won't say who) have been declaring flame wars against users who they perceived as "stealing their ideas and techniques/styles". Well, in my opinion, this sort of view that "their ideas and techniques are stolen" by their peers is pretty damn retarded.
First of all, let's talk about the theft of ideas. This is the internet, loads of information flowing through it everyday. Sure you may come up with something you think is original, and if it's interesting someone is bound to like it and come up with their own based on your awesome "idea". But in the end, I will not believe you if you say you plucked that idea out of thin air, because there's no such thing as original ideas anymore. Your "original idea" is actually a culmination of all of the things you see, hear, touched and experienced. So in short, YOU stole other people's ideas as well.

An explanation.Ever since I've started painting and creating what I consider to be 'art', a lot of people have asked me "why?" and "how?". Whenever I'm asked, I tend to become defensive, and generally try to shut down the question as quickly as possible. I've probably partially caused the perception that I BS my work due to that reaction to questions, since I often say that I 'Just do it' with no thought as to what I'm actually doing.
I don't BS my work. I don't just splatter and scatter paint haphazardly and apply meaning to it.
When I paint, I try to capture the essence of the moment I'm in. I try to create something that will elicit an emotional reaction from the viewer. The deconstruction of figures, scenes and objects are intentional to leave everything to the interpretation of the viewer. The less I show and the more I suggest and imply, the more I put into the hands of the individual viewer. The more ambigious the piece is (in my opinion), the more the viewer can put of themselves into the int

Nvidia card users important

People i just discovered why i couldnt get true blacks on my cintiqs, or other monitors, blaming led technology. But envidia was the problem at fault.



Color value are from 0 to 255, i mean from black to white, thats good for photoedition, but real bad for games.


Nvidia cards were built for been in video games, so they dont use those values, they use from 16- 235, so you are skipping the most crucial colors for coloring, but for editing it will SUCK.




So i had found a great web page, with a little software for pc users, that you run it and restart and you get solid blacks, this had made my callibration so easy, it was the graphic card the problem.

Just download the program, unzip it, execute it, and choose from 1 to 255 values, restart and its done.

Corel painter works incredible with those values. You notice this more if you have your monitor connected in hdmi mode.

i dont use that one, its because you have to change the nib of the brush its in general, instead of using circular change it to computer one, and then the option will be enabled.

It's worth pointing out that not all displays support full range, and if that's the case then full range will only make things look bad. It's also worth pointing out that this is only necessary for people using hdmi output, seeing as there's an option for it in the control panel, covering dvi output.

nvidia 3d mode is fuxored as well.. it uses another range of colors too.
